Lemonada — Free Arabic Google Font

Lemonada pairs Eduardo Tunni's Latin "Lemon" design with Mohamed Gaber's Arabic component, which starts from Naskh and folds in touches of the more flowing Diwani style. Wide, open counters keep it readable at small sizes while its distinctive detailing gives it real presence as a display face.

About Lemonada

Lemonada combines Eduardo Tunni's Latin design Lemon with an Arabic drawn by Mohamed Gaber, and was added to Google Fonts in 2016. The Arabic starts from Naskh and introduces influences from Diwani. Wide, open counters keep it readable at smaller sizes, and its weight axis runs from Light to Bold. The Arabic character set supports Arabic, Farsi and Urdu.

Designers: Mohamed Gaber, Eduardo Tunni

Best used for

  • Branding with a soft, flowing feel
  • Packaging and product design
  • Display headlines with Diwani influence

How Lemonada compares

Lemonada and El Messiri share a designer, Mohamed Gaber, and a Naskh starting point, but Lemonada leans towards Diwani's flourish while El Messiri imagines Naskh drawn with a brush. Compared with Rakkas, Lemonada is softer and works across more sizes, where Rakkas is purely a poster face. Choose Lemonada when you want personality in a headline but still need a lighter weight for short supporting lines.

Tips for using Lemonada

Lemonada suits friendly brands, packaging, children's products and food, anywhere warmth matters more than formality. Five weights, Light to Bold, let it handle both a headline and a short line of supporting copy. For long text, switch to a calmer Naskh such as Noto Naskh Arabic and keep Lemonada for display.
